Police cadet killed in auto crash

Tragedy struck in Lagos, early morning Wednesday when one of the Police Cadets, who  recently passed out from Ikeja Police College, lost his life in a ghastly motor accident. 

The new Assistant Superintendent of Police Tajudeen Umaru met his untimely death when his Sunny salon car with registration number, CD 325 FKJ, had a head-on collision with a J5 Bus, with registration number YA 871 AAA, belonging to one of the national newspapers. 

Sources said the accident occurred at a spot close to  Fadeyi Bus-Stop, along Ikorodu Road, when the Police Officer, who was driving against traffic on top speed had a head on collision with the J5 distribution bus, which was heading to CMS in Lagos Island.  Corpse of the ASP, who was among the 1,074 ASPs, Specialist Course 1, who passed out from the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos on  February 5, 201, after going through a one year course, had been deposited at  Isolo General Hospital mortuary .

In another  development, a member of a notorious robbery gang that specialized in robbing banks at night  has been arrested  by Anti-Robbery Policemen attached to Idimu police station.   He was  arrested with  three AK-47 rifles  while over ten magazines loaded with 300  rounds of 7.62mm caliber live ammunition were recovered from him.
