NO fewer than 10 persons were weekend, seriously injured in Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, in a fresh fight between rival members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Agbor chapter, in an unsuccessful attempt to forcefully unseat the incumbent leadership of the union led by Mr Amechi Igumbor.

Vanguard gathered that  gun-wielding men numbering over 20, allegedly inflicted machete cuts on their victims and fired several shots to scare away commuters at the Lagos Park located at Uromi Junction and the Warri Park at College Junction, Agbor.

At the end of the fracas, over six commercial and privately owned vehicles were destroyed by the rampaging touts, who, sources claimed, also raided some shops along Baleke Street in Agbor metropolis.

One of the victims, Mr. Darlington Isimoya, who received several machete cuts on his head, said that he was in the park when the invaders stormed the area and started fomenting trouble. The victim is currently receiving treatment in a private hospital in Agbor.
