Youths leaders task Uduaghan on empowerment

By Emma Arubi
WARRI-LEADERSHIP of Egbema youths in Warri North council area of Delta State have called on the Governor of the state Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan to truly empower the youths of the community and bring tangible infrastructural development to Egbema kingdom.

This appeal was contained in a statement signed by ex-militant leaders in the area including Gen. Kari Ebipade (a.k.a silent general), Mr. Chuks Wowei and Wilfred Elebiri respectively and made available to vanguard.

According to them, they have worked so hard to ensure the success of the Governor till date and they said it is time for him to compensate them as they would on longer accept crumbs as was in the past.

They further expressed regret over the shabby treatment meted to them by the governor in the last three and half years in spite of their massive contribution to the peace and security agenda of the state, saying that to whom much is given much is also expected.

They said political offices and patronages should be equitably distributed to give everyone a sense of belonging.

While congratulating him on his well deserved victory, they noted that the Delta South senatorial district must be allowed to serve their two terms as no one group can claim to be the only rightful people to govern the state.
