Nigeria’s Head Coach Samson Siasia flew into Abuja on Sunday night as his preparatory camp for domestic league players swung into action.
Players were actually expected to report to camp on Monday but three players of Premier League side Warri Wolves hit Abuja on Sunday, 24 hours ahead of schedule. They immediately joined other technical crew members including goalkeepers’ trainer Ike Shorounmu.
First assistant coach Simon Kalika also arrived from The Netherlands Sunday night.
Siasia, who celebrated the yuletide period with his family in the United States of America, arrived through London, and is expected to lead his boys in his first training session as Super Eagles’ boss at the National Stadium, Abuja Monday evening.
Nigeria will play Iraq, Malaysia and Poland in Group A of the United States President’s Celebration Soccer invitational tournament in the USA next month, and on February 9, the Eagles are expected to play an international friendly game.
