Singabele angry over Ogoli’s death

Former Nigeria Football Federation board member Peter Singabele has reacted angrily to events that occurred in the aftermath of the tragic death of Ocean Boys’ defender, Emmanuel Ogoli.

Ogoli died in an ambulance taking him to Crest Clinic in Yenagoa.
Singabele said he has now been informed that players of Ocean Boys were interviewed by television cameras of a broadcast station outside St Peter’s Hospital.

Singabele is the medical director of St Peter’s Hospital and he does not understand the rationale behind the use of his medical center for any activity related to the death of the player.

“I was quite shocked when I learned from (Ocean Boy’s general manager), Tony Ogola that a television station used my hospital to interview players of the club,’ Singabele told SuperSport.com.

‘I must point out here that my hospital was formerly used by Ocean Boys but the last time we had anything to do with the club was on December 5, 2009. So one can safely say we no longer do business with Ocean Boys,’ Singabele said.

The former NFF chief is now blowing hot over the incident. He is threatening taking legal action should his hospital be mentioned in negative light by the television report.

‘I am warning the station in very strong terms, in their best interest, to desist from mentioning my hospital in bad light as far as this incident is concerned.

‘I will not hesitate to sue any individual or organisation that drags my name in the mud,’ he said
