May &Baker Nigeria Plc, a company quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), said it has come out with a formulated Multivitamin Syrup that will help boost the immune system of the body.

The company said its research showed that the frequent depletion of amino acids and other nutrients is as a result of excessive physical and mental activities.

It also establishes irregular and inbalanced food intake and near total reliance on carbohydrate diet  as a result of poor supply of essential nutrients and minerals to the body.

The company observed that instead of person(s) feeding on balanced diet, they feed on junk foods, Stressing that multiplicity of Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) across the country has  resulted in high fat, low fibre and high salt intake.

During the unveiling, Joseph Odumodu, Managing Director of M&B, said the product which has a Nigerian formulation is produced in India, which comes in syrup, is a food supplement to make both children and adults healthy.

According to Odumodu, Multamin improves lever and kidney function due to the presence of methionine and threonines, improves physical and mental alertness due to the action of phenylalarine and valene.

The Managing Director also said the company would commission it’s ultra- modern factory in Ota, Ogun State in 2011, while promising that the product would be replicated in Nigeria.
