THE Appeal Court in Benin has adjourned till March 8, 2011, the Appeal against the Ogodo family in Sapele, Delta State by the Africa Timber and Plywoods, AT&P.
Though the court did not sit as scheduled, counsel were later informed that the matter had been adjourned till next year.
Parties are to adopt their written addresses at the next adjourned date.
Counsel to the Ogodo family, Mr S. Odo, who spoke to Vanguard at the court premises, said the date for judgement would be announced by the court after their addresses had been adopted.
It will be recalled that the Ogodo family is praying the court to strike out the appeal against the judgment of the Delta State High Court sitting in Sapele, which had earlier declared the Ogodo family as the authentic owners of the disputed land in Sapele.
