CAF: Singabele drums support for Galadima

By Tony Ubani & Toyin Adeyemi

FORMER board mem-ber of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Dr Peter Singabele has applauded the nomination of erstwhile Chairman of the NFA, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima as a replacement for disgraced Dr Amos Adamu as an executive member of Confederation of African Football, CAF.

Singable who worked in the board when Galadima was Chairman said that the former Kano State Commissioner of Sports is eminently qualified to occupy the position.

“At a time like this, we need somebody who is credible and with relevant experience in football and the right credential to take over. Galadima is intelligent, humble, honest and hardworking. He will not betray Nigerians because he is a transparent person. I worked with him and I can vouch for him”, Singabele who was a torn in the flesh of the board of the Sani Lulu Abudullahi-led board said.

He however urged the NFA and Government not to stop at just nominating Galadima but to work assiduously to ensure that he gets into the board.

“There are going to be thorns on the way but Government should do the necessary work for him to get in. I understand that there are other candidates from other African countries jostling to occupy that same position. Galadima’s entry into CAF and possibly FIFA will be beneficial to the country”, Singabele preached.
