Nigeria last week in Abuja failed again to realise her dream of lifting the All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT), event for the first time. Rather it was South Africa, which has won the event since inception nine editions all together, that strolled to the podium to once again lift the trophy high.

The Nigerian ladies had high hopes of lifting the trophy this year. They camped at the prestigious IBB Golf and Country Club, Abuja, venue of the AACT, so that they can get used to the course and probably use  local knowledge to outwit the dreaded South Africans. But all that came to nought, as the women from the rainbow country ran rings round the Nigerian women and strolled to the trophy. The Nigerian  team which featured Amina Wilfred, Rachael Danjuma and Dianna Okah finished in the ninth position.
