The National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG has commended Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for appointing Bayelsa born security expert, Mr. Matthew B. Seiyefa as Acting Director -General, DG of Department of State Services, saying the swift decision by Prof. Osinbajo is not just a perfect example of impeccable statesmanship devoid of nepotism, but calmed political frayed nerves.

The Itsekiri graduates’ body in a statement signed  by its  National President, Comrade Collins Edema, stressed that the timely action of the Acting President saved Nigeria’s democracy from what would have been a show of shame over the unprofessional conduct of men of the country’s secret police who acted on the directive of the sacked DSS DG.

While disclosing that the new Acting DSS DG, Mr. Matthew Seiyefa is an In-law to Itsekiri Nation, NAIG expressed optimism that the DSS Boss will discharge his responsibility with the greatest sense of professionalism and non-partisanship as the tempo of political activities heighten.
