KATSINA – Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State on Monday nominated names of 34 persons for caretaker chairmen of 34 local government areas in the state.

The names of the persons were submitted before the Katsina state House of assembly for onward screening and confirmation.

The House leader, Hambali Faruk who hinted the plenary sitting, said step by the Governor was in line with section 80 of the local government law.

According to him, “the move for the formation of the committees was in line with the administrations desire to bring rapid development to the people at the grass root,” Faruk said.

In a related development, the Assembly has screened and confirmed Bishir Abdullahi as a new commissioner in the state executive council.
