ASABA—The Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Coordinator, Political Appointees, Hon. Emmanuel Osazuwa, has charged political appointees to key into the State contributory Health Scheme for affordable and quality healthcare services.
Osazuwa gave the charge during a meeting of the political appointees which included Executive Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Personal Assistants to the Governor held in Asaba.
He said the benefits of enrolling in the scheme were unquantifiable and as such, they should embrace the scheme for a better healthcare for themselves and their families.
He commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for introducing the contributory Health Insurance Scheme in the state, saying that the scheme is the best thing to happen to Deltans.
The Governor’s aid also applauded the management of the State Contributory Health Commission for their commitment to duty, even as he urged his colleagues to be up and doing in propagating and projecting the achievements of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in line with the SMART Agenda.
In his remarks, the Director General, Delta State Contributory Health Commission, Dr. Ben Nkechika, said the scheme covers a man, his wife and four children who are under 18 years.
