Entrepreneur, Kehinde John Olagbenjo, has launched TLIG MOVE, a technology-driven delivery and logistics platform aimed at addressing some of the challenges businesses and individuals face in moving goods and fulfilling orders across Africa. Olagbenjo said the idea for the platform was driven by recurring challenges brought to his attention by business owners, particularly those processing dozens of orders daily but struggling to fulfil them efficiently because of limitations in their existing delivery arrangements.
Rather than encouraging the businesses to simply engage more riders, Olagbenjo said he began exploring how technology could provide a more flexible system through which businesses could access delivery capacity when required. He explained that the development of TLIG Foods further highlighted the need for an efficient logistics solution, as he realised that producing and selling products was only part of the business process, while getting orders to customers efficiently remained equally important. He said the experience informed the decision to develop TLIG MOVE as a platform capable of connecting businesses and individuals with riders, drivers, fleet owners and logistics companies. Olagbenjo said the platform was designed to go beyond conventional package delivery by providing what he described as a digital ecosystem for delivery, logistics and commerce. Under the model, businesses can access delivery services without necessarily establishing their own delivery departments, while e-commerce operators can integrate delivery into their platforms
. Fleet owners and logistics companies, on the other hand, can connect their vehicles and riders to the platform to access delivery opportunities, while riders and drivers can use the digital system to manage deliveries and access more opportunities. Olagbenjo said the long-term objective was to build infrastructure that businesses could rely on as they expand, particularly as demand for e-commerce and on-demand delivery services continues to grow. He added, ‘‘the platform was also conceived as part of a broader effort to develop technology solutions capable of addressing everyday business challenges and creating economic opportunities across Africa.’’ “Instead of complaining about the problem, build a solution,” Olagbenjo said, explaining the thinking behind the platform.
TLIG MOVE is currently available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, with onboarding ongoing for businesses, riders, fleet owners and other logistics partners.
