The Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA) has fixed November 23, 2026, for the commencement of the 47th Kano International Trade Fair.
The President of KACCIMA, Ambassador Usman Hassan Darma, disclosed this at a briefing on Monday.
Darma said the trade fair would provide businesses with opportunities to showcase their products, connect with customers and establish new partnerships.
He said the official opening ceremony would be held on November 28, while the fair would end on December 6.
“We are working to make the 47th edition different by introducing new innovations and creating a platform that will attract businesses and participants from different parts of the country.
“The trade fair is not only about buying and selling. It is also about networking, showcasing innovations and creating opportunities for businesses to grow,” Darma said.
He said the fair would be open to both small and large businesses, adding that some businesses operating in Kano were not widely known and could benefit from the exposure provided by the event.
According to him, the chamber has set aside about N220 million for logistics and other requirements, including infrastructure to provide a conducive environment for exhibitors and visitors.
Darma said the organisers were also planning to digitalise the trade fair platform to enable buyers and sellers to sustain business relationships beyond the event.
He added that the platform would feature interactive sessions where participants could exchange ideas and explore opportunities for business growth.
The KACCIMA president assured participants of adequate security throughout the fair, saying the chamber was working with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies and security organisations.
He said a local organising committee would be inaugurated on Saturday to coordinate the event, with members drawn from the chamber, private sector, government agencies, security organisations and other stakeholders.
“Our focus is not primarily on making money from the trade fair, but on providing services, promoting businesses and creating connections that will help drive economic growth in Kano State,” Darma said.
