.As co-founders outline rules for business success

The Pertinence Group recently celebrated the graduation of its latest set of students from the Enterprise Training and Resource Center, ETRAC, where the company leaders shared rules for lasting business success.

The graduation event, which took place in Lagos to reward the students who finished their studies from two special classes: the Growth Mastery Programme and the Advanced Realtor Certification Programme.

The school was set up as the main training branch of the company to give local business owners, real estate workers, and young professionals the real-world skills, good thinking, and execution tools they need to do well in the market today.

Co-founder of Pertinence Group, Dr. Sunday Olorunsheyi, spoke to the graduating students and told them to keep learning and take responsibility for their own lives by using competence, capacity, commitment, and character as the four main pillars needed to succeed in business and leadership. Olorunsheyi stated, “while skills and hard work can open doors, it is your good character that keeps you successful for a long time.

“I want you to avoid being lazy, make good friends who can help you see new opportunities, and work hard to bring value to people so your future can be bigger than where you are today.”

Also speaking at the event, another Co-founder of the group, Mr. Wisdom Ezekiel, told the graduates to think deeply about problems before making any choices because challenges often look bigger in our minds than they really are. Ezekiel reminded them that ” You must always look for solutions, keep buying and reading books to learn new things, find the tools you need to do the work, and make a clear plan to start acting, because what you know only helps when you actually use it.”

General Manager of Pertinence Group, Mr. Seun Odebowale, happy for the students, told them to make sure that everything they learned at ETRAC brings real success and good results into their daily work. In her own speech, Mrs. Jumoke Benjamin told the graduates to be very serious about building businesses that will last for a long time by planning properly and treating customers right. Benjamin advised, “you must build your business with a proper plan, treat your customers as your most important asset, be ready to learn from others every day, and help other people grow as you rise. You must also face tough times with a brave heart.”

The ceremony also served as a platform to announce the next set of classes, as Ezekiel invited new business owners and real estate workers to sign up for the September 2026 school start so they can join the growing community. The event ended with closing prayers led by a member of the Pertinence Board, Pastor Ebun Olufemi, followed by a time for the graduates to take photos, talk, meet, share certificates, and tell happy stories about how the school changed their lives.
