Nigerian-born hypeman and master of ceremonies Solomon Ehigie, professionally known as Hyper Best, is continuing to make his mark in the United Kingdom’s entertainment scene, earning recognition for his energetic live performances and growing profile within the Afrobeat community.

Based in the North East of England, Hyper Best has become a familiar face at concerts, festivals, nightlife events, cultural celebrations and corporate functions, where he is known for engaging audiences with performances spanning Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall, Hip-Hop and R&B.

Speaking on his journey, Hyper Best said his passion goes beyond entertaining audiences.

“My goal has always been to create memorable experiences through music. I want people from different backgrounds to come together, enjoy themselves and celebrate African culture through entertainment,” he said.

Since relocating to the UK, the entertainer has shared the stage with several leading Afrobeats artistes, including P-Square, Iyanya, Skales, Fido and Crayon, experiences he described as significant milestones in his career.

“Every opportunity to perform alongside established artistes motivates me to keep improving. It’s an honour to contribute to the growth of Afrobeats and live entertainment in the UK,” he said.

Hyper Best’s growing influence has also attracted industry recognition. He was honoured with the Music & Sound Award at the 2026 Afriball Creator Awards, in recognition of his contribution to live entertainment and performance culture. He has also been featured in connection with BBC Radio 1 events.

Reflecting on the award, he said it serves as encouragement to continue raising the standard of live performances.

“Receiving the award means a lot because it recognises the hard work and dedication that goes into every performance. It inspires me to keep pushing boundaries and delivering excellence,” he said.

Beyond the stage, Hyper Best said he is committed to promoting African culture and strengthening connections between communities through music.

“Entertainment is a powerful tool for bringing people together. Through every performance, I hope to showcase the richness of African music and culture while creating an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy,” he added.
