…As party holds solidarity walk in Ayedaade

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the August 15, 2026 Osun State election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has urged party members and other eligible voters not to be intimidated by threats or violence ahead of the poll.

Oyebamiji said the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, had assured the party that adequate security would be provided to safeguard voters during the election.

He also expressed confidence that incidents of violence experienced during the 2022 governorship election would not recur.

Speaking at Ode-Omu after a solidarity walk organised by former Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan, alongside former House of Representatives member, Hon. Taiwo Oluga, Prince Dotun Babayemi and other party leaders, Oyebamiji urged residents to turn out and vote without fear.

According to him, security agencies would deal with anyone attempting to intimidate voters, urging supporters to remain peaceful throughout the election.

He expressed optimism that the APC would emerge victorious in the governorship poll.

Earlier, Adesiyan criticised the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, alleging poor performance in key sectors, including health and education.

He expressed confidence that the APC would perform strongly in Ode-Omu and described Oyebamiji as capable of advancing the state’s development if elected.

Also speaking, Oluga said the solidarity walk demonstrated the party’s readiness for the election and confidence in its chances at the poll.
