Why Borno people will miss Zulum – Aide

The Technical Assistant Media (T.A) to Governor Babagana Zulum, Hon Simon Zubairu has said that the people of Borno especially the masses will definitely miss the Governor who has been crisscrossing hinterlands and rural communities offering humanitarian support and executing massive infrastructural projects in the last seven years.

He explained that Zulum’s development initiatives in Borno State span massive education, healthcare, infrastructure, and resettlement projects, including multi- billion naira Mega Schools, comprehensive primary healthcare centers, and major township roads as well as several flyovers, advanced hospitals, and thousands of IDP housing units spread across the state.

Zubairu made the declaration on Friday while interacting with Journalists to commemorate the 7th Year anniversary of the present administration in Maiduguri.

He reiterated that, since inception, Governor Zulum swung into action by consolidating on the Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement initiatives, where millions of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were voluntarily resettled back to their ancestral homes with dignity, as newly constructed houses, schools, healthcare centres and other recreational infrastructures were provided to resilient people across the 27 local government areas.

The Media Aide recalled an instances where the governor, because of his passion to development and well being of his people, is usually visiting rural communities, slept and spending much of his time directly interacting with the grassroots despite the lingering security challenges, which according to him, such action alone have increased resilience and inspires people to feel the inclusivity of governance.

“Let me begin by Congratulating of Leader, His Excellency, the Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum and the good people of Borno for attaining the 7th Year anniversary of purposeful administration.

“To say the fact, the entire people of Borno especially the masses will definitely miss the Governor whose tenure is coming to an end in May 2027.

“It will interest you to know that as Governor, Professor Zulum would have chose to delicate, but he has been personally crisscrossing hinterlands and rural communities offering humanitarian support and executing massive infrastructural projects in the last seven years.

“Since inception, Governor Zulum swung into action by consolidating on the Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement initiatives, where millions of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were voluntarily resettled back to their ancestral homes with dignity.

“More so, newly constructed houses, schools, healthcare centres and other recreational infrastructures were provided to resilient IDPs and people across the 27 local government areas.

“You are all living witness to an instances where the governor, because of his passion to development and well being of his people, is usually visiting rural communities, slept and spending much of his time directly interacting with the grassroots despite the lingering security challenges. This is very rare among serving governors, such action alone have increased resilience and inspires people to feel the inclusivity of governance”. Hon Zubairu stated.

He called on the people of different faith to continue offer their unflinching support and pray for peace in the state, as the present administration, under Zulum’s purposeful leadership is poised to complete all existing people oriented projects and make Borno a prosperous and peaceful state.

Hon Zubairu also used the opportunity to call on the good people of the state to rally round the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Engr Mustapha Gubio and all other candidates who had emerged victorious after the party’s primaries to win all elective positions come 2027 general elections.
