Governor Oborevwori
Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta State UK Chapter have congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his third anniversary in office, commended his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, economic growth, and the overall advancement of the state.
In a statement issued on the occasion of the governor’s three years in office, signed by the Chairman, Lucky Gbenedio Esq., they described the Oborevwori administration as one that has demonstrated purposeful leadership through the execution of critical road projects, urban renewal programmes, and strategic investments aimed at improving the living conditions of Deltans.
He noted that the visible transformation taking place across various parts of the state reflects a deliberate effort to strengthen the foundations of economic development, facilitate commerce, attract investment, and improve connectivity among communities. According to him, infrastructure remains a key driver of growth, and the governor deserves recognition for prioritising projects that directly impact the people.
The statement disclosed further that the administration’s commitment to completing inherited projects while initiating new ones has helped sustain public confidence in governance and accelerated development in both urban and rural areas of the state.
According to him, “Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has, within three years, demonstrated that governance is ultimately about delivering tangible results to the people. Across Delta State, there is visible evidence of progress through road construction, bridges, urban renewal initiatives, and other critical infrastructure projects that are opening up communities and stimulating economic activities.”
He added: “As Deltans in the diaspora, we are particularly encouraged by the administration’s focus on creating an enabling environment for investment and sustainable development. The MORE Agenda is gradually translating into measurable improvements in infrastructure and public service delivery. We urge the governor to sustain this momentum as the state continues its journey towards greater prosperity and economic competitiveness.”
The APC Delta UK Chairman also called on Deltans, irrespective of political affiliation, to support initiatives that advance the collective interest of the state, stressing that development should remain a shared responsibility beyond partisan considerations.
He expressed confidence that with sustained investment in infrastructure, human capital development, security, and economic diversification, Delta State would continue to strengthen its position as one of Nigeria’s leading sub-national economies.
