Sallah: DG BPP briefs Tinubu on ongoing procurement reforms

The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, weekend briefed President Bola Tinubu on the ongoing procurement reform in the agency.


He gave the briefing while paying Sallah homage to the President at his Lagos residence, as part of activities marking the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.


Speaking after the visit, Adedokun disclosed that the visit afforded him the opportunity to brief the President on the ongoing reforms and strategic initiatives being implemented at the Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, towards strengthening transparency, accountability, and efficiency in Nigeria’s public procurement system.


He noted that the reforms were aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability and value for money in public procurement across federal ministries, departments and agencies, MDAs.


“The visit also gave me the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda through institutional reforms that will enhance service delivery, promote fiscal discipline, and deepen public confidence in governance.


”I sincerely appreciate Mr. President for his continued support, leadership, and dedication to national development,” he said.
