Lagos-based real estate entrepreneur, Mabel Ebele Magbulu, has declared her intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency of Delta State in the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Magbulu made the declaration during a visit to her hometown, Amai Kingdom, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, where she was received by a large crowd of supporters in a colourful homecoming event marked by songs, dancing, and community celebration.
Residents of the community turned out in large numbers to welcome her, expressing enthusiasm and support for her political ambition. Cultural traditions were observed during the visit, including the presentation of kolanut, symbolising acceptance and unity within the community.
During the event, she formally announced her readiness to contest for the seat, stating her commitment to development, empowerment, and improved representation for the constituency.
Community leaders, elders, and religious figures also offered prayers and blessings, urging her to continue her political journey with unity and purpose.
Political stakeholders present at the event expressed support for her aspiration, with party leaders signalling endorsement of her candidacy ahead of the election cycle.
The gathering ended with enthusiastic chants from supporters, as residents expressed optimism about her candidacy and future representation of the constituency in the National Assembly.
