The Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has admitted CareOne Digital Hospitals into its prestigious Health Guardians Initiative, strengthening private sector collaboration towards building a more viable and sustainable healthcare system in Nigeria.

The partnership was formally sealed during a signing ceremony held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the HFN Secretariat in Lagos.

CareOne Digital Hospitals is one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing hospital networks, operating across 17 locations in six states with over 300 beds and more than 500 staff. The company leverages digital infrastructure, operational standardisation, telemedicine, and centralised management systems to enhance efficiency and quality of care.

Speaking on the development, HFN President, Mrs Njide Ndili, said: “CareOne represents the kind of systems-driven innovation and scalable healthcare thinking that Nigeria needs at this critical time. Their work in digital hospital management, operational efficiency, specialist access, and neonatal care demonstrates how private sector-led models can improve healthcare outcomes while building sustainable institutions. We are pleased to welcome them as a Health Guardian and look forward to advancing healthcare reform together.”

CareOne CEO, Dr. Segun Ebitanmi, added: “We are honoured to join the HFN Health Guardians Initiative. We strongly believe that sustainable healthcare transformation will require scalable, technology-enabled, and professionally managed systems that can consistently deliver quality outcomes for patients. We look forward to working with HFN and other stakeholders to drive long-term healthcare transformation across the country.”

The Health Guardians Initiative was established to foster sustained engagement between HFN and forward-thinking healthcare organisations committed to improving healthcare delivery, promoting policy reform, and advancing Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Nigeria.
