Lekki land  dispute: Parties allege court order breach

By Efe Onadjae

LAGOS—Tension is rising in the Lekki Peninsula Scheme II area of Lagos State following a dispute over ownership of a parcel of land.

The controversy centres on Plot Block 69H, Lekki Peninsula Scheme II, which is being claimed by Advance Lincon Limited, a company said to have been incorporated in 1999.

Documents indicate that the firm was allocated the land by the Lagos State Government between 2002 and 2009, fulfilled statutory requirements, and was issued a Certificate of Occupancy in 2014.

However, another company, Lincoln Advanced Radiology Service Limited, reportedly incorporated in 2023, has also laid claim to the same property.

The dispute has taken a legal turn after a Lagos State High Court, on March 10, 2026, ordered all parties to maintain the status quo pending compliance with pre-action protocols.

Counsel to Advance Lincon Limited said the order remains valid and binding on all parties involved.

There are claims that activities have continued on the land despite the court directive, though these could not be independently verified at press time.

Meanwhile, contempt proceedings have reportedly been initiated, including the issuance of a Form 48, which notifies parties of the consequences of disobeying a court order.
