The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has announced plans to hold its annual Redeemer’s Day programme across all 64 regions of the church in Nigeria, covering the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The programme, which celebrates God’s faithfulness to the church and its educational institutions, is scheduled to take place on March 13 and 14.

According to a statement by the Christ the Redeemer’s School Management (CRSM), the board that oversees the formal educational arm of the mission, this year’s event will be held under the theme “Lord of All.”

Redeemer’s Day was initiated more than two decades ago by the wife of the General Overseer of RCCG and Mother-in-Israel, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, as a platform to celebrate the goodness and faithfulness of God upon the church’s schools and the mission at large.

Pastor Folu Adeboye had described the event as “a celebration, not a competition.”

Although the programme features activities such as march-pasts, sporting events, thanksgiving parades, and art and science exhibitions, organisers say the event has consistently maintained its celebratory spirit since its inception.

This year’s edition will involve about 400 primary and secondary schools across the 64 RCCG regions participating in various activities designed to promote teamwork, creativity, and thanksgiving.

Chairman of the Christ the Redeemer’s School Management, Pastor (Prof.) Michael Aduradola, confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been concluded to ensure a successful programme.

He added that representatives of the CRSM will monitor activities across the regions to ensure proper coordination and adherence to the objectives of the event.
