The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with Inter Core Solutions Limited, has concluded a five-day capacity-building programme for 100 youths on meter assembly, installation, and calibration in Lagos State.
The training, which held from January 19 to January 23, 2026, was designed to equip participants with practical technical skills and industry-relevant knowledge required for employment and entrepreneurship within the oil and gas sector and related industries.
At the certificate presentation ceremony, the Managing Director of Inter Core Solutions Limited, Mr. Ubi Ofem, congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the programme, urging them to apply the skills acquired to enhance their professional prospects. He stressed the growing importance of specialised technical competence in the oil and gas industry and commended the NCDMB for its collaboration and sustained support for youth development.
Ofem noted that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to building a skilled local workforce capable of meeting industry demands, while reducing reliance on foreign expertise.
The training forms part of NCDMB’s broader mandate to deepen Nigerian content by developing indigenous capacity and bridging skills gaps across the oil and gas value chain. The board has consistently prioritised youth-focused vocational and technical programmes to ensure Nigerians are well-positioned to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the sector.
Stakeholders say the successful completion of the programme underscores the commitment of both NCDMB and Inter Core Solutions to human capital development, with expectations that the initiative will contribute to improved technical capacity, job creation, and sustainable growth within Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
