A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Chief Engr. Chinwe Mbah (FNSE), widely known as Ada Eji Eje Mba, has formally resigned from the party, attributing her decision to the prolonged internal crisis that has beset the PDP.

Her resignation, dated November 25, 2025, was conveyed in a letter to the Ward Chairman of PDP, Ukehe Ward 5, in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area.

Chief Mbah, one of the most respected female political administrators in Enugu State and beyond, has been a key pillar in the PDP for over a decade. She is known for her administrative expertise and her extensive contributions to the party’s electoral processes across the South-East, South-South, and South-West.

Her exit has sparked discussions in political circles, with many describing it as a significant loss for the PDP given her reputation for professionalism, integrity, and capacity to bring order and credibility to complex party processes.

Chief Mbah, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a Justice of Peace, is admired for the competence that earned her the title Ada Eji Eje Mba, a name associated with excellence in public service.
