…call for sober reflection amid security concerns

Jos — The Christian community in Plateau State is preparing for a major religious convocation following the formal announcement by Take The Nations (TTN), in partnership with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Plateau State Chapter, of the forthcoming Jos Jesus Crusade.

The event, scheduled for 17–21 December 2025, is anticipated to be one of the most noteworthy evangelical gatherings the State has witnessed in recent years.

The announcement was made during a press briefing held on Monday in Jos, where the Secretary of the Central Planning Committee, Evangelist Joshua Mape, provided details on behalf of the organisers saying the crusade will hold daily from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and admission is free.

The crusade will be led by Evangelist Daniel Du Toit, founder of Take The Nations and a protégé of the late Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.

Du Toit, whose ministry spans over 27 countries, has in recent years conducted major crusades in Offa, Ede, Ile-Ife and Kaduna. Organisers say Jos is expected to experience a similarly impactful move of God marked by worship, healing, and spiritual transformation.

According to the planning committee, the programme seeks to deepen evangelism, promote unity among Churches, and foster a lasting spiritual awakening across Plateau State. A gospel minister Mallam Razphil is among those scheduled to lead worship during the five-day gathering.

Representing the CAN Chairman, the Secretary of CAN Plateau State, Pastor Julius Arabo, urged Christians and residents of all backgrounds to participate actively, noted that the prevailing security tension in the State calls for sober reflection, adding that the crusade offers a timely opportunity for collective prayer, hope, and unity.

Preparatory activities include a Women’s Conference on 13 December, a Ministers’ Conference from 18–20 December, daily publicity rallies, and Jesus Marches on 10 and 17 December. Organisers describe the crusade as a timely intervention aimed at bringing healing, peace, and spiritual renewal to the State.
