BENIN CITY – THE member representing Ovia North East I Constituency, Hon Charity Aiguobarueghian, has renovated a block of six classrooms with stores and principal’s office and a perimeter fence for Ekiadolor Secondary School, Igudaiken in the constituency, a development he said was part of the quality representation he is giving to the people.

Besides the buildings, he also donated 100 sets of desks and chairs for the comfort and convenience of the students.

He said the projects were a fulfilment of the promise he made in February this year when he visited the school to enroll 200 indigent students of the school for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) as an alumnus of the school.

He said his cardinal objective as the lawmaker representing the area “is to touch humanity and that has been my priority since I assumed office as the lawmaker representing the people of Ovia North East I Constituency.”

Aiguobarueghian who is also the Minority Leader of the State House of Assembly thanked the people of all the communities, party leaders and faithful and all that were in attendance adding that his commitment to education is not in doubt.

Commissioning the projects, the Edo State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Paddy Iyamu commended Hon. Aiguobarueghian for the quality of the work done in the school and representation he is giving to his people.

He urged members of the constituency to continue to give the lawmaker the necessary support.

Iyamu said children are the future and hope of any nation and urged parents to focus on their children’s future and dreams by ensuring their education.

He enjoined the community to protect the infrastructure and facilities.

Earlier in welcome address, the Principal of the school, Dr. (Mrs.) Osamudiamen Okhomina described the projects as a landmark which would guarantee the security of the students, she expressed her gratitude for the new facilities and promised to put them into judicious use.

The project commissioning event attracted elders, women, youths, school management, teachers and students of the school including leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area
