To align with advanced digital transformation in Nigeria, Huawei has launched its New-Gen OceanStor Dorado Converged All-Flash Storage.
Speaking during the Huawei Day 2025 in Lagos, Technical Director of Advanced Solution Group, Nveen Kumar, in his keynote speech noted that the storage is designed to bring mission-critical applications into the AI era.
He said, “The New-Gen OceanStor Dorado All-Flash Storage is built to meet the data storage requirements of Nigerian enterprises for mission-critical applications in the AI era. The first capability is the multi-protocol convergence – through the design of a shared resource pool and seamless interworking across multiple protocols, the New-Gen OceanStor Dorado achieves maximum resource sharing.
“It allows for the flexible allocation of resources across block, file, and object services to address business uncertainties. By unifying block, file, and object services into a single brand of storage, management is greatly simplified.
“It adopts a multi-protocol parallel I/O path design in architecture, significantly enhancing performance. Furthermore, all three services (SAN, NAS, and object) share consistent enterprise features, such as replication and Active-Active, providing a unified experience across multiple protocols.
“It can tolerate the failure of up to seven out of eight controller enclosures without service interruption, with 99.99999% reliability of a single system. Meanwhile, intelligent snapshot correlation analysis and intelligent snapshot synthesis technologies ensure 100% data availability after recovery. Through AI agents, the New-Gen OceanStor Dorado can automate the entire process, greatly reducing operational complexity and enhancing the overall operational efficiency of data”.
