Former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi, has urged Christians across the world to embrace the spirit of love, tolerance, and sacrifice this Easter season.

In his Easter goodwill message delivered Saturday morning in Asaba, Osanebi emphasized that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolize the ultimate expression of love and selflessness for humanity.

“The only reason for these festivities is Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection epitomize love, peace, and sacrifice,” he said.

He noted that Easter signifies hope and salvation for a world in need of redemption, and called on Christians to faithfully practice the values exemplified by Christ.

“The world would be a better place if the virtues of Jesus—especially His undying love for humanity, which led Him to lay down His life on the cross—were truly practiced by believers.”

Osanebi called on Christians to live out the teachings of Jesus by demonstrating love, kindness, tolerance, and by making sacrifices for the collective good of society.

“On behalf of myself and my family, I wish you all a very happy Easter celebration,” he concluded.
