Ex Benue Police spokesman, Ezeala elevated to Assistant Police Commissioner

Newly promoted ACP Gudu and Ezeala

The former Police Public Relations Officer,  Benue State Command, Mr. Daniel Ezeala has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP.

Until his elevation by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, Mr. Ezeala was a Chief Superintendent, CSP, and the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of ‘E’ Division Makurdi.

Elevated alongside the former spokesman was the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of ‘A’ Division Gboko, Mr. Stephen Gudu who was also promoted to the same rank.

Decorating the Officers with their new ranks in the presence of family members and friend, the Benue State Police Commissioner, Mr. Steve Yabanet charged the new officers to see themselves as members of the top management team.

He charged them to conduct themselves with decorum and display exemplary conduct, commitment, discipline and professionalism in the course of their new roles.

He also commended members of their families and loved ones for standing with their sons who were found worthy to be elevated by the Police authority.

He advised that as they move to the cadre of Commissioner of Police much is expected of them “because to whom much is given much is expected. And we expect that you carry yourselves as such.”

Responding for the promoted officers, the former Commnad spokesman, ACP Ezeala thanked the Police Service Commission, PSC, the IGP and the Benue State Police Commissioner for doing them the honour assuring that they would not fail in their new responsibilities.

He lauded Mr. Yabanet for mentoring and dispassionately leading them in the discharge of their responsibilities assuring that they would not relent in the discharge of their duties in their new ranks.
