If we’re listing 2024 events that were one step ahead of the current economy and left the world wanting more, Neuroscience & Giggles shouldn’t go unnoticed.

As organisers of the event, we can confidently say that it served – and continues to serve – as a powerful tool for preparing minds to become capable of achieving anything and everything they set out to do, even in the most difficult or seemingly impossible environments (wink at the Nigerian economy). The experience was invaluable, and even we are still reaping the benefits.

Neuroscience & Giggles is more than just an event; it’s a movement. It’s uniquely designed to help participants undergo deep transformation at a subconscious level, all while being immersed in an environment overflowing with fun and laughter.

The atmosphere at N&G is electric – imagine a room full of people not just learning but laughing, connecting, and evolving together. We challenge conventional methods of personal development by infusing joy and humour into the serious business of self-improvement.

As one attendee put it, “It’s like therapy, but with jokes. You leave feeling lighter, brighter, and ready to take on the world.”

The first edition of N&G took place in 2020, and it has since grown into a much-anticipated event on the annual calendar, with its fourth edition on April 13, 2024. Over 150 participants have attended these sessions, each leaving with a renewed sense of purpose and a mind more inclined to thrive, even in the face of adversity. The primary goal of N&G is simple yet profound: to equip individuals with the mental tools they need to navigate life’s challenges with resilience, creativity, and joy. We’re all about turning the mind into a powerful ally, capable of overcoming any obstacle.

This year, we were fortunate to have Ohent Pay as our sponsor, and partnered by MANI, and Safespace. These companies recognised the value of this initiative and contributed to its success. Like the participants, they saw N&G as a worthwhile investment; and we can confidently say it paid off for everyone involved.

N&G is a proud initiative of The Omoi Clan, the largest Emotional Intelligence Community for Tech talents in Africa, under the visionary leadership of Alex Oyebade – a Neuro-Performance Coach whose love for laughter is rivalled majorly by his passion for the human mind. The Omoi Clan has become a beacon for those seeking to unlock their full potential. Alex’s approach is a blend of science, humour, and heart, making complex concepts about the mind accessible and actionable for everyone. Our work doesn’t stop with N&G; we’ve initiated other chapters under The Omoi Clan to continue this journey of growth and transformation.

“The mind is our most powerful tool, and yet we often overlook its potential,” Alex explains. “With N&G, we created a safe space to engage truths from the fields of Neuro-Lingustic Programming, Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy as it pertains to peace and happiness.”

As we wrapped up this year’s event, we noticed that participants left not just with a deeper understanding of their own minds, but also with a sense of community and a smile on their faces. Neuroscience & Giggles isn’t just an event you attend, it’s an experience that stays with you long after the laughter has faded. And judging by the buzz, the next edition is already on everyone’s radar.
