Security agencies have been asked to go after a group calling for the arrest and prosecution of the immediate past Vice President Upstream of the National Nigerian Petroleum Corporation Limited, NNPCL. Engr Adokiye Tombmieye.

National Coordinator APC 4+4 Niger Delta Believer’s Council, Sir Fred Magada, in a media chat with newsmen in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital dismissed petitions and media publication against Engr Adokiye by the group and others.

He said, “We call on anti-graft agencies and all other security agencies to go after these persons and prosecute them as doing so will reduce blackmailers in our society.

“We warn enemies of the Niger Delta to refrain from such activities cause it will not do any good to them, but rather land them in trouble because blackmailing is a serious offense in our country.

“Adokiye has retired from the corporation since last year, he contributed a lot to our dear nation. He’s partly responsible for the peace you witness in the Niger Delta today.”

The APC 4+4 Niger Delta Believer’s Council also commended President Bola Tinubu for the rise in the value of the naira.
