The agency banking arm of Interswitch Financial Inclusion Services, IFIS, Quickteller Paypoint, has announced a strategic partnership with Ogun State government to facilitate digital payment collections for discounted food stuff to the state’s residents.

Through the partnership, civil servants in the state will be able to securely purchase discounted food items, such as rice, using the Quickteller Paypoint platform.

Speaking on this, the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, said the initiative was a testament to the state government’s commitment to enhance the quality of life for the workforce and provide access to essential commodities at affordable rates.

He said: “The state government is devoted to implementing strategic initiatives at mitigating the adverse effects of the economic downturn experienced in the region.

“The discounted sale of rice to residents of Ogun State is just one component of a comprehensive plan designed to uplift the state’s economy and improve the livelihoods of its residents.”

He commended Interswitch for providing an efficient payment infrastructure in facilitating digital payment collection.
