Ahead of the 2024 governorship election in Edo state, the Concerned Edo Progressive ECP, has called on all relevant stakeholders in the state to look beyond sacred unwritten rotation that might over-monetize the polity, but focus more on competence, and actual delivery on the needs of the people of the state while stating that it’s high time for young progressives to take over the mantle of the number one seat of the state.

A communique signed by the spoke person of the organisation Mr. Hassan Abiri, stated that the people’s loyal servant has surfaced- Barr Kasimu Otono, a young, vibrant and dynamic youth for Edo Gubernatorial candidate (APC) come 2024. 

Abiri said, “It is high time we put forward a capable, young and vibrant Edo Son who has proven to show excellence in his chosen career and without questionable character to fill the highly exalted governorship seat of the state.

“We have long waited for good, effective and dynamic governance in Edo State and as such the only person that has been tested and trusted who also possesses high-level integrity, character, capacity, humility and competence that can rescue Edo State from bad governance is Barr. Kasimu Otono who has touched and impacted lives positively across the state regardless of your background given to his philanthropic and generous nature and genuine love for his people and humanity.”

The group said, “Although there is a golden rule that has been adopted by all relevant stakeholders to foster peace and unity and fairness amongst all Edo Sons and Daughters, it urged that the party APC should look beyond sentiment but more on competence and capacity to deliver the Renewed Hope mantra of Mr President to the great people of Edo state.”

It further reiterates Barr. Kasimu  Otono commitment and antecedent as a loyal party man who has never decamped to any other Party and who aspired in 2022.
