Yuletide: Police assure adequate security in Kaduna

The Police in Kaduna State on Friday said it mapped out operational strategies to checkmate  criminal elements during Christmas and New Year celebrations in the State.

This is contained in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer,  ASP Mansir Hassan and made available to newsmen  in Kaduna.

Hassan said the command  deployed conventional, Mobile Policemen as well as undercover operatives to monitor key and vulnerable points.

“This will ensure water tight security across the state before, during and after the yuletide period,” he said.

He  reassured the people of Kaduna state of its readiness to promptly respond to distress calls and decisively deal with any person or group of persons who might in any way,   disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the state.

“The police wish to advice parents and guardians to be watchful and warn their children/wards against the use of all forms of fireworks and not  allow them to be used by mischief-makers during the festive period.”

Hassan urged members of the public to report any suspicious movement of persons, items or any mysterious objects noticed in public places to the nearest police formation or call Police emergency numbers 070-3-967-5856 or 0807-539-1105.

“The Commissioner of Police in  Kaduna,  Audu  Dabigi,  wishes all law abiding residents of the state  happy Christmas and  prosperous New Year celebrations in advance.
