Industry Experts set to Evolve Pathway for Nigeria’s Energy Transition

Renowned stakeholders and energy experts are set to converge in the nation’s capital Abuja to chart a direction for the nation’s energy transition, focusing mainly on the prospect of midstream gas development.

In a statement issued by the organizers of the event, signed by Musa Bashir Usman Publisher/CEO of Valuechain Media,”this year’s event draws attendance and participation from a wide range of stakeholders and industry experts as part of the overall objective to contribute to the national energy transition discourse and expected outcomes in policy attention.”

“With the theme “Midstream Gas Development: Pathway to Nigeria’s Energy Transition” and under the distinguished chairmanship of the Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources, Chief Ekperikpe Ekpo, the legacy lecture series has the Chief Executive, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Engr. Farouk Ahmed as the Keynote Speaker, with notable panelists drawn from the academia, security agencies and representation from civil society.”

“A second session of the event will feature deliberations on Oil theft and pipeline vandalism, under the Chairmanship of the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources, Chief Heineken Lokpobiri, with the major highlight of the event being the investiture of awards to distinguished and eminent persons.”

“Among key dignitaries and special guests expected at the event which will be held from on Thursday at the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Conference Auditorium, PTDF Tower, Abuja are Vice President Kashim Shetima Mustapha, GCON and His Highness, the Emir of Kano, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero and His Excellency, Dr. Farouk Omar Ibrahim, Secretary-General of African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPPO).”
