In an industry that often places a premium on code, the inaugural No Code Tech Summit delivered a powerful message: some of the most transformative work in tech today comes from those who never write a single line of it.
Held at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, the summit welcomed hundreds of attendees from across Nigeria’s tech ecosystem to celebrate non-technical talent powering innovation behind the scenes. The event was hosted by tech storytellers Precious Oluwadahunsi and Toba Adedunrin, and featured speakers such as Odunayo Eweniyi (Co-founder, PiggyVest), Kelvin Umechukwu (Co-founder & CEO, Bumpa), and Daniel Abayomi (Product Designer, Meta), who shared insights on building resilient careers in Africa’s digital economy.
A key highlight of the night was the award ceremony, designed to honour professionals in tech roles that too often go unrecognized: designers, operations leads, managers, marketers, and more.
Among the standout winners were Chiamaka Amaku, Adaobi Nwosu, Kaosarat Aduagba, and Iyabode Atoyebi, all celebrated for their contributions to product development, brand, and user experience.
In a region where non-code professionals are frequently overshadowed, the No Code Tech Summit served as a timely reminder that building great technology takes more than engineers, it takes visionaries, strategists, storytellers, and problem-solvers across the board.
