Nigeria took a giant leap in its quest for economic prosperity when the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mele Kyari led other stakeholders to sign the much awaited final investment decision, FID, of Train 7 of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG, on Friday, December 27, 2019.

Considering the position of Nigerian oil in the international market, and with the recent announcement of Honda that the company is going to scrap the production of petrol and diesel vehicle by 2022, think what will happen to us with a mono economy from oil, when oil is no longer needed globally.

What is the price to pay for offering one’s conscience on a platter and putting knife to principles and ethics as sacrificial lambs in a desperate desire to accumulate power and attain influence?  For many individuals, it is usually the hollowing of the heart, a gutless sucking up to equals and the rationalization of the impossible with the aim to impress and maintain relevance.

Growing up as a young boy in Port Harcourt, I developed a somewhat argumentative relationship with religion from the age of 12. 

Year 2019 has been a fulfilling moment for women nationally and internationally. All over the world, women have pushed the world forward and have been able to set a footprint in decision making. These women broke barriers to become leaders in their respective positions.
