abuja—The Federal High Court, Abuja, has  ordered sale of two landed property belonging to two tax evaders: Zaibadari Company Limited and Tradecraft Nigeria Limited to defray N35.9 million tax debts.

Someone gives you “a taste of your own medicine” when they act towards you the same way you act towards others in order to teach you a lesson about the way you are acting. If a man acts rudely to others, for example, acting rudely back to him would be giving him “a taste of his own medicine.”

My experience of the way parents train their children when I had opportunity of travelling to the United State of America was totally different from the way Africans train their children. I was always annoyed with my host when his small boy of six years will do something wrong and instead of spanking him or warning him in a serious manner, he would just call him and pamper him and tell him it is not good and will later show him the right thing to do. In my eyes, it is sparing the rod and spoiling the child. My host noticed my reaction and he called me to explain that, it is how they train their children and they are better for it. It didn’t go down with me but I had to just adjust and get along.

ABUJA—Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the disputed   Imo West Senatorial election, Mr. Jones Onyereri, has asked Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja to disqualify himself from the suit Governor Rochas Okorocha filed to   compel the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to issue him a Certificate of Return as the Senator- elect for the District.
