ASABA- CONCERNED Ughelli North/Ughelli South Youths for Good Governance, CUNSYGG, has called on members-elect of the Delta State House of Assembly, political leaders and stakeholders to support the election of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as Speaker of the 7th Assembly.

CUNSYGG, in a statement by its Chairman, Mr Akpokiboro Ediyere said the incumbent Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has done well, adding that “the House under his leadership is one of the most vibrant State Houses of Assembly in the country”.

Describing Oborevwori as a pragmatic and dedicated leader, Ediyere said several people oriented bills have been passed and signed into law under his watch.

According to him, the House under the leadership of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori was working in synergy with the other arms of government to deliver democratic dividends to the people of the State.

He said: “Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is doing very well as Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly. Since he took over the leadership of the House on May 11, 2017 the House has passed several bills; bills that have direct impact on the average Deltan.

“We are therefore, appealing to all members-elect, political leaders and stakeholders to throw their weight behind Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to enable him emerge as Speaker of the House in the 7th Assembly”.
