PORT HARCOURT – CASTING of ballots, which started at about 3.30am has ended at about 6.15am Sunday morning as the Governor Okowa led Planning Committee navigates into sorting of ballots.

Sorting is ongoing with one agent representing each all 12 aspirants manning respective boxes into which the ballots are being sorted.

It is quiet at the moment at the stadium as anxious aspirants and their supporters await announcement of results.

DELEGATES from Abia and Adamawa were first to be called by the Convention Planning Committee to step forward as voting gets underway in ongoing Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Convention in Port Harcourt Rivers state.

Planning Committee Chairman, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, announced 3274 accredited across the states and Federal Capital Territory with Akwa Ibom state having the highest 153 delegates accredited and Ogun with lowest 21.

Kebbi’s 68 accredited delegates include one blind party member and one physically challenged.
