ABUJA-In furtherance of its determination to forge a common front ahead of the 2019 elections, the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) is currently unveiling its national secretariat in Abuja.
CUPP, an alliance involving 39 political parties including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), it would be recalled, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to field a joint Presidential candidate to confront the ruling party in 2019.
The building located at No. 13 Thaba Tseka street, Wuse, Abuja housed the Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee during the 13-months legal battle that almost brought the party to its knees.
Some of the dignitaries at the event are the PDP national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, his Action Peoples Party (APP) counterpart, Ikenga Ugochiyere, Social Democratic Party (SDP) national chairman, Chief Olu Falae and national chairmen of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC), Alhaji Buba Galadima.
Others are Professor Tunde Adeniran, Chief Godson Okoye, Senator Liyel Imoke, Abduljalil Tafawa Balewa amongst others.
