Kylian Mbappe has hit back at England fans who told him football was coming home.

The France striker has had the last laugh after England crashed out in the semi-finals of the World Cup, leaving France and Croatia to contest Sunday’s final.

And the French teenager, who has scored three times in his country’s run to the showpiece in Moscow, has sent a stinging message to English fans. He wrote in a message on his Instagram account: ‘It’s coming home. Impossible.

‘I’m sorry… because I love England but for those who sent me stupid messages and insults till now… you deserve this answer now!’ Some England fans tweeted messages to Mbappe pre-match. One from @UnspokenTruth80 read: ‘Brilliant apart from last 5 minutes. Try that against England and Maguire will munch you’. Meanwhile, @LiamBeech9 said to Mbappe on Twitter: ‘Hope you lose to England’.

‘If England get through, i will promise you that the 3 lions will be after the blood of the cockerel, we will chew you up and spit you out. That’s what you get when your arrogant as you are,’ @MarkThomas0071 wrote.
