Victor was said to have joined the bus from Eko Hotel carrying a bag full of foreign currencies unfortunately for him, he was shot by the gunmen at Bonny Camp.
According to eye witnesses’ account, the journey from Eko Hotel went smooth as some of the passengers shared personal experiences with one another but on getting to Bonny Camp underbridge, the driver paused to pick some passengers and that became his undoing as an unregistered motorcycle with a rider and passenger blocked the bus and before anybody knew what was happening, the passenger alighted, entered the bus and pointed a gun at Victor.
It was learnt that before Victor could utter a word, his assailant told him, “give me the money,” and the next thing was to fire the shot that killed him and thereafter snatched the bag.
Vanguard gathered that this caused pandemonium in the area as people ran helter skelter before normalcy later returned.
Victor was said to have fallen unconscious, and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died few hours later.
While in the hospital, Victor’s relatives were contacted and his younger brother rushed to the scene to behold the body.
