Jonathan, PDP governors to inaugurate Fayose’s projects

Former President Goodluck Jonathan and some serving governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP are due in the state on Friday to commission projects executed by the outgoing administration. Among the projects to be inaugurated is the 1.3 kilometre Ado-Ekiti Flyover.

A statement issued by the commissioner for Information, Lanre Ogunsuyi disclosed that the bridge project which was initiated and executed by the Ayodele Fayose administration was flagged off in March 2016.

He said the project was completed within 24 months. Also to be commissioned are the new six-storey ultramodern High Court complex which is being dedicated to the memory of the first Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Ademola Ajakaiye, and the new Governor’s office.

“The overhead bridge was constructed as part of efforts at ensuring the free flow of traffic in the State capital; enhance economic activities and save valuable man-hour,” the commissioner said.

“The construction of the well equipped ultra-modern High Court building was to boost effective and efficient administration of justice among others.”
