In line with the Federal Government’s initiative of increasing locally produced rice, Gombe state governor, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has commissioned a rice plant today, in Gombe, the capital of Gombe state.
Speaking at the event, the governor reiterated his support for local manufacturers, citing that their activities help to boost food production and create jobs for the teeming youths in the state.
“We are grateful to the founder, Mr. Yayaji Ahmed Ganga for situating this rice plant in our state, which will no doubt boost food production and create more jobs for our teeming youths.
“We will work with other relevant stakeholders to provide all the needed support, including infrastructure to ensure that quality rice is available and affordable in the state” Governor Dankwambo added.
On his part, the founder of M. B Ganga Integrated Rice Mill, Mr. Yayaji Ahmed Ganga thanked the governor for the support and encouraged him to patronize the company during festive seasons.
“We are grateful to the governor and everyone, especially the coordinator of NAFDAC who has contributed to making this a success. However, we want more support, especially in the area of patronage and infrastructure.
“We have already created 15 direct jobs and over 200 indirect jobs in this short period. I believe, with your support, we can do more” Mr. Ganga noted.
