…Says Rumour, Handiwork of Mischief makers

Immediate past Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has called on Deltans to disregard news positing that a political arrangement has been concluded to field him as Deputy Governor for a Delta State Governorship hopeful of the All Progressive Congress ahead of 2019.

Macaulay has described the news making the round as mere rumour and figment of the writer’s imagination.

Contained in a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Mr Iteveh Ekpokpobe, the veteran labour leader said there was neither a meeting nor discussion were such a decision was reached.

According to him, he is today a card carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In the same vein, Macaulay advised the mongers of the rumour to channel their energies towards development communication and addressing issues relating to the well being of Nigerians.
