The state Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Mr. Chika Ossai, who gave the warning while presenting C of Os to landlords who had complied with the new order in Core Area IIA, opposite the airport, Okpanam, Oshimili North council, said government will not hesitate to invoke the laws on those occupying its lands illegally.
Ossai said: “Government asked the illegal occupants to pay N1.5 million, N2.5 million and N3. 5 million depending on the square metres of land, instead of outright seizure of the lands,” adding that those in commercial buildings are to pay N2 million, N3million and N4 million.
