In commemoration of the just concluded International Women’s Day, soul singer, Aramide, celebrated the former Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Ayotunde Phillips (RTD), at the first edition of her concert tagged ‘Songversation with Aramide’, an evening of soulful music and exciting performances which held at the Hard Rock Cafe, Oniru, Lagos.
In an exclusive chat with Showtime, Aramide explained the motive behind her decision to celebrate the former chief judge. In her explanation, she described Hon. Justice Ayotunde Phillips as a woman of impeccable character and virtue, a reason she celebrated her at ‘Songversation’ concert.
“I decided to honour Hon. Justice Ayotunde Phillips alongside the commemoration of International Women’s Day because she is someone that has been extremely nice to me. When we spoke about tonight’s event she was very excited about it and she was happy to attend. I’m sure you saw that she had a good time because she was on her feet dancing to my songs and that of other artistes who came to support me. She’s an amazing woman, the type that every girl should endeavor to be like”, she said with excitement.
